May we receive the gift of Mary from Jesus, "Behold your Mother!"(Jn 19:27), throughout this Month of May; especially through her union with our Risen Lord and Merciful Redeemer during this Easter Season. So many graces are being poured forth upon us in these times, but are we disposing ourselves to receive them? Mary is the "Secret" to dispose ourselves most fully to our Baptismal Graces. "Fiat!" “My body my choice!” mimics satan’s stance before God. Do we not see the writing clearly on the wall in this situation? Mary’s Fiat: “Be it done to me oh Lord, according to your word” (Lk 1) VS Satan’s “non-servium!” Yes, we as women can come forth and say, “I have the right to do whatever I want with my body and with whatever is within my body (ie. the child in the womb).” And, ok, but Cain also felt he had the right to kill Abel and the result was not a happy one.
