Many people speak of being “woke”, “awake”, or “red-pilled” today; because they have begun to recognize the “matrix” or the “brainwashing” scheme of the evil one and his minions, who have sought to control and manipulate humanity as puppets on a string.  The enemy camp has set out a pot of nice warm water for us to relax in. In other words, they have catered to us and our whims and desires for fun, enjoyment and pleasures of all kinds by way of movies, television shows, sports entertainment, radio programs, internet access, concerts, music …; not in any way to say acting, singing, sports or the various mediums of communication are in themselves propagating bad; because, as we know, some are using it for the glory of God, and to foster His Kingdom on earth.

Advent

The child had a hard time letting go — letting go of anything she could find security in: a blanket, a teddy bear, or whatever else seemed to sate, even in a small way, the great need she had for her father’s love. But little by little, as she was stripped of this or that — as though her fingers being pried one-by-one away — she began to get the message that there was something more for her elsewhere; that, unless stripped, she could not receive.

Billy Graham once said, the Catholic Church is a sleeping giant, but it is about to wake up. And, is this not what is happening in our times? If we think back when Jesus suffered and died; He went to Calvary for love of us; He was crucified, for love of us. And, now it is Christ’s body, the Church, which is going through its Calvary. Mother Church is going through her purification; a cleansing of anything that is not holy and pure, and set on seeking God’s divine and holy Will.

“The poorest of the poor in America are the spiritually poor” (cf. Mother Theresa). We are calling all Catholics to unite in the great mission of Mother Church.

As I’m spending time with Jesus during this Advent Season, I find myself connecting again with our Mother Mary, Mother of the New Advent, who is pregnant with Jesus; I’m aware of her womb of the past, but also the womb of her heart of the present, as we await Jesus’ second coming.
